On September 6 and 7, 2024, the Austrian Armed Forces will host Airpower24 at Hinterstoisser Air Base in Zeltweg. Under the motto "Flying. Freedom. Enthusiasm," Europe's largest air show will be organized together with Red Bull and the state of Styria.
Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner announced an extensive program with 206 aircraft from over 20 nations. Highlights include flight demonstrations of the new AW-169 "LION" multi-purpose helicopter, a dogfight demonstration with Eurofighters and solo displays of an American F-35A. Airpower24 promises not only spectacular flight demonstrations, but also tourist and economic stimulus for the Murtal region and Styria, with estimated revenue of nine million euros. In addition, a new transport concept is being implemented that will enable convenient and sustainable travel.
