The low-cost airline Wizz Air currently has an unusually large amount of wet-lease aircraft in use, even though the entire fleet has still not been airborne. One of the reasons behind this is that one suffers from a shortage of flight attendants throughout the network.
Amongst other things Fly2Sky and Aura Airlines, however also other airlines are currently traveling on Wizz Air's route network. At the moment it is not foreseeable how long the lowcoster will have to make do with rented capacities.
On Wednesday it was announced that Wizz Air will close the bases in Dortmund and Riga in October 2021. The one in Germany was only opened in June of the previous year and is the only one in Germany so far.
