Austrian Airlines is currently looking for pilots for the Embraer 195 and Airbus A320 aircraft. There are around 100 vacancies in other areas of the company.

Due to the corona pandemic and the associated short-time work, the Austrian Lufthansa subsidiary has not hired any new pilots for a long time. That has now changed, because pilots are being hired again for the Embraer 195 and Airbus A320. Specifically, first officers are wanted.

When asked, a spokeswoman told Aviation.Direct: "Pilots without a TR can also apply for the Ready Entry positions". Interested parties can find more information about the open cockpit positions at www.austrianpilot.at.

Austrian Airlines is also taking on new employees in other areas of the company. A spokeswoman: “In addition to the Ready Entry pilots, around 100 positions are currently being filled in all other areas of the company. In addition, there are ongoing recruitments in the cabin and Vienna station. In this way, we primarily compensate for natural fluctuation and retirements”.
