The British Airways subsidiary BA Euroflyer started a non-stop connection between London-Gatwick and Salzburg on June 1, 2023. This is served on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Incidentally, in this winter season 2022/2023 Salzburg was connected to London Gatwick and London Heathrow up to twice a day and also had Southampton and London City Airport in the flight schedule.

“We are delighted to be able to offer a year-round service between Salzburg and London Gatwick through our growing BA Euroflyer network. Our customers can look forward to the best British Airways service. In addition to our recently expanded menu available in the Euro Traveler cabin and extensive service in Club Europe, passengers have the opportunity to earn and redeem Avios, the program currency of our award-winning loyalty program,” said Steven Allen, BA's Chief Commercial Officer euro flyer.

The partnership between Salzburg Airport and British Airways is a long and almost historic one, as the first scheduled flight London – Salzburg took place with a BEA DC-3 on April 22, 1955. The British national carrier has been a permanent and reliable airline partner since 1999 and it is impossible to imagine the Salzburg airline sky without it.

“British Airways is a very important year-round partner for us for flights to the British Isles, both summer and winter. We are therefore pleased that BA Euroflyer is again connecting Salzburg to London Gatwick all year round from today. We offer our vacation and business travelers to and from Salzburg an adapted and well-engineered range of flights for every season, and here British Airways fits in perfectly both in winter and in summer as an essential component of the year-round range of flights at Salzburg Airport," says airport manager Christopher Losmann .
