Bamboo Airways is waiting for the green light for Frankfurt and Munich

The Vietnamese airline Bamboo Airways plans to open a non-stop connection between Ho Chi Minh City and Melbourne on April 1, 2022. This is the carrier's international debut.

The route is to be operated twice a week with Boeing 787-9s. While the start of flights to Australia has been officially confirmed, the destinations announced for January 2022 in Germany are still pending. The company intends to fly from Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi to Frankfurt and Munich from January 16, 2022. They also want to add London Heathrow to the route network. The necessary permits have not yet been issued for any of the three objectives.

They are also waiting for the DOT approval from the United States of America, because Bamboo Airways also wants to fly to Los Angeles and San Francisco, among others. When these may be included is also currently unclear.
