After long months of forced pause due to Covid-19, Air Transat will resume non-stop flights between Basel-Mulhouse and Montreal on May 5, 2022 with one rotation per week.

Until the end of October, the airline will operate this weekly flight on Thursdays with its new generation Airbus A321neoLR aircraft. The leisure airline is thus returning to the tarmac of Euro Airport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, from where it has been operating flights to Canada for many years.

Air Transat is also striving to reduce its impact on the environment, according to Swiss travel portal About Travel. The airline has completely rebuilt its fleet and integrated the Airbus A321neoLR. This aircraft uses 15 percent less fuel, reduces noise by 50 percent and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent compared to the previous generation.
