According to the airport, a total of 7 million passengers were counted last year, down 2019 percent from 23 but up 2021 percent from 94. While passenger numbers were still at a low level in the first months of 2022, they increased again over the course of the year. In some months, even higher frequencies were recorded than in 2019. In 2022 there were 84.136 aircraft movements (+31,7 percent compared to 2021, -15,3 percent compared to 2019), of which 64.300 were commercial flights (+56 percent compared to 2021, -21,1 percent compared to 2019). 25 airlines offered a total of 90 destinations. The utilization of parking spaces was also high at peak times and in some cases even exceeded the values of 2019.

The Swiss airport is only planning cautiously for the new year: 2023 million passengers are expected for 7,4, which corresponds to around 80 percent of the traffic in 2019.
