Bremen Airport in northern Germany had a total of 2022 passengers in the recently completed year 1.492.975. This was 137 percent above the value that could be achieved a year earlier. However, the latest traffic performance is only 65 percent of what it was before the pandemic.

Flight movements in 2022 were 25.083 take-offs and landings. This is an increase of 32 percent compared to the previous year (18.949) and corresponds to around 70 percent of the movements of the pre-crisis year 2019 (36.307).

"The enormous increase in passenger numbers in 2022 is an expression of a significant recovery in the aviation industry and passenger demand at Bremen Airport. From the second quarter of 2022, the number of passengers increased and made a big step towards pre-crisis levels possible," says Managing Director Marc Cezanne.
