Budapest with new China freight connections

Advertising

Budapest Airport can enjoy three new cargo routes served by Wizz Air, Longhao Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines. These were added in the last few days.

Wizz Air operates a cargo connection to Hangzhou with the Airbus A330F, which it operates on behalf of the Orban government, in addition to Universal Translink Airline. Longhao Airlines connects Zhengzhou with Budapest and Ethiopian Airlines Hong Kong with the Hungarian capital.

On May 19, the Hungarian capital welcomed Longhao Airlines. The cargo airline will operate between Budapest and Zhengzhou (CGO) with a B747 Freighter, accelerating the development of the airport's global air cargo route network and adding new capacity for the BUD-CGO route, which has been successfully operated since 2019, to the fast-developing cargo gateway in China.

To complete the advances, Ethiopian Airlines has established a weekly charter service between Budapest and Hong Kong using the airline's B777 cargo planes, focusing on breakbulk and e-commerce goods.
