Last week, the Maldives-based airline Beond started a direct connection between Munich and Malé. This is a direct flight and not a non-stop flight, as a refueling stop is required for technical reasons.

Airbus A319 medium-haul jets are used. It sets off from the Bavarian capital to the Maldives twice a week. Every Wednesday and Sunday, the plane from Male lands in MUC at 20:40 p.m. and takes off again towards the Maldives at 21:40 p.m.

Only business class transport is offered on board. The machine has 44 seats.
