Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is a hive of activity for the UEFA EURO 2024. The airport company is expecting an increase in passenger volume as numerous football teams and fans will land at BER.

Ten charter planes from Spain and Croatia were expected on Friday and Saturday. The Spanish team will arrive on Friday, while the Croatian national team was welcomed in Berlin last Sunday. The ceremonial welcome was given by Interior and Sports Senator Iris Spranger, the Croatian ambassador Gordan Bakota and airport manager Aletta von Massenbach.

The "Giant Trophy", a 3,20-meter-high replica of the tournament trophy, can be viewed in the airport's security area. In addition, the shops and catering areas are appropriately decorated and offer fan articles. All EURO 2024 games will be broadcast in the "Permanent Representation" (StäV) in the security area.

The opening hours of the BER Lounge Tegel have been extended from June 16 to July 21, 2024. Passengers can use the lounge daily from 5.00 a.m. to 21.30:24 p.m. and receive a discount of 7 euros on the entrance fee with the promo code "FootballXNUMX".

Aletta von Massenbach, CEO of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, emphasized the importance of the airport as a gateway to the capital region and a cosmopolitan sports metropolis. She highlighted the extensive preparations for EURO 2024 and looked forward to the exciting games ahead.
