The Spanish province of Catalonia is closing its borders, following Viktor Orban, who has sealed off Hungary since September 1, 2020. So far, it has not helped the Austrian neighbor, because Hungary has record numbers in terms of positive corona tests even with closed borders.

Catalonia imposed an entry and exit ban for an initial period of 15 days. In addition, residents are no longer allowed to leave their towns and communities on weekends. The regulation comes into force on Friday. The local health director, Alba Verges, said the health system could no longer cope with the current stress.
