Hamburg Airport strengthens security measures after 2023 incident

Hamburg Airport has further tightened its security measures after a man with a kidnapped child raced onto the airport apron in November 2023. Massive folding gates and retractable bollards are currently being installed at an access road near the business aviation center. Hamburg: Maintenance work on the runway successfully completed

Hamburg Airport has completed the maintenance and repair work on runway 05/23 (Niendorf/Langenhorn) as planned. Both runways have been available for flight operations again since yesterday. Volotea now serves Nantes-Hamburg
