Bavarian airports record record numbers during the summer holidays

At the end of the Bavarian summer holidays, the airports in Munich, Nuremberg and Memmingen are reporting a successful travel season, with some of them setting record numbers. Munich Airport handled 6,2 million passengers in the past six weeks, an increase of ten percent over the previous year. September 1st was the peak day with 143.000 passengers.

Nuremberg Airport records passenger record during summer holidays

Nuremberg Airport recorded a significant increase in passenger numbers during the Bavarian summer holidays in 2024. Around 714.000 passengers took off or landed in Nuremberg, which means almost 3.000 additional travelers compared to the previous year. The busiest day was August 17 with over 19.300 passengers.
