Mallorca effect: BER records slight growth

Berlin Brandenburg Airport recorded a slight upward trend in March 2021. In direct comparison with February 2021, there were around 73.000 passengers. 220.250 travelers were counted. The decisive factor is likely to have been the increased demand for Palma de Mallorca. Nevertheless, passenger numbers remain stable one year after the start of global travel restrictions.

Sundair: D-ASSB arrived in Berlin

The German airline Sundair transferred an Airbus A319, the D-ASSB, to Berlin-Brandenburg Airport. It had previously undergone extensive maintenance by Croatia Airlines. BER: Increase in false alarms due to faulty fire alarm systems

At BER airport, there are increasing incidents caused by the fire alarm system. The sensors with laser technology can trigger a false alarm if the sun hits the main pier of the main terminal at a certain angle, as an airport spokesman explained.
