Lufthansa is modernizing the cabins of its Airbus A320 fleet

In February 2026, Lufthansa returned its first fully refurbished Airbus A320, registration "D-AIZY," to scheduled service. This marks a significant milestone in the airline's modernization program for short- and medium-haul routes. A total of 38 existing A320 family aircraft will undergo a comprehensive retrofit by 2029.

Early winter weather leads to flight cancellations at Frankfurt Airport

A sudden onset of winter weather with snowfall and low temperatures disrupted operations at Frankfurt Airport on Thursday.
