At the start of the summer flight schedule, Easyjet is expanding its offering at Cologne/Bonn Airport.
From April 15, the British airline will connect Cologne/Bonn Airport with London Gatwick Airport on a daily basis. After Berlin, Porto and Mallorca, it is already the fourth route that the British low-cost airline has added to the airport within a short space of time. The second largest airport in the British capital is served on Saturday mornings, Monday afternoons and on the other days in the evenings. The return flight takes place in the same time window. An A319 with 156 seats and an A320 with 180 seats will be deployed to Gatwick.
“We are pleased that, in addition to Berlin, Porto and Palma de Mallorca, we can again offer our customers the connection from Cologne/Bonn to London-Gatwick, which easyJet last flew in 2016, right on time for the start of the summer flight schedule this year. The flight connection is offered daily, which will particularly please business travellers. We are thus consistently expanding our unique route network. As during the entire pandemic, we continue to monitor the development of demand and adjust our flight program accordingly, provided that it makes operational sense," explains Stephan Erler, Head of Germany at Easyjet.
The carrier only returned to the airport in December 2021 after an 18-month break due to corona. Since then, it has connected the Rhineland with Berlin twelve times a week. As previously announced, there will be two weekly connections to Porto in Portugal from April 1st and three weekly connections to Palma de Mallorca from May.
