Clear victory for trade unions at Discover Airlines

The workforce of Discover Airlines, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, voted with a clear majority for the trade union candidates in the recent works council elections.

Ten of the 17 seats on the works council went to representatives of the Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) and the Unabhängige Flugbegleiter Organisation (UFO). This shows that the workforce has clear confidence in the trade associations that want to campaign for fair and reliable working conditions. Ver.di only received the fourth most votes, which indicates a declining level of confidence in the large union.
