Club holidays for singles: new trends and preferred destinations

More and more solo travelers are looking for their dream vacation in a club resort, and the demand for such offers has increased sharply, according to a recent analysis by Tui Magic Life. In 2024, the all-inclusive brand Tui Magic Life recorded a 15 percent increase in bookings from solo travelers compared to the previous year.

Popular destinations include Turkey and Greece, with solo travellers particularly favouring the off-season months such as September and May. These periods allow them to enjoy the clubs in a quieter atmosphere, whilst at the same time the full range of leisure activities, from sports to wellness to evening events, are fully available.Club holidays such as those offered by Tui Magic Life offer the perfect setting for solo travellers to both socialise and enjoy individual leisure activities.

Tui Magic Life has developed a special concept for this: the so-called "Magic Angels" are responsible for integrating solo travellers into the community activities and establishing contact with other guests. The activities on offer range from sports such as tennis or cycling to dance and fitness courses. Special evening events organised by the Magic Angels also create opportunities for solo travellers to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere.

Popular clubs for singles: Türkiye and Greece

The Tui Magic Life Candia Maris club resorts on Crete, Tui Magic Life Jacaranda and Tui Magic Life Masmavi on the Turkish Riviera are particularly popular with solo travellers. The Club Candia Maris is specially designed as an adults-only resort and offers numerous opportunities for active leisure activities.

At the Turkish Riviera clubs, around half of all solo travelers opt for a combination of sun, sea and entertainment in a relaxed but dynamic environment. For nature lovers, for example, the Turkish coast offers attractive excursions and a variety of water sports that can be used directly via the all-inclusive package.

booking trends and preferred travel time

An analysis of Tui's booking data shows that the low season months are increasingly preferred by singles. September and May are among the most booked months here, as the travel volume outside of the peak season is ideal for solo travelers. September was the most popular month for solo bookings in 2024, with demand increasing by 23 percent compared to the previous year. During the peak summer months of July and August, on the other hand, it is mainly families and couples who take advantage of club holidays. These periods therefore rank last in the booking list for solo travelers.

Pricing and costs for solo travelers

The cost of a one-week stay varies depending on the club and the destination. For example, the price for seven nights at the adults-only Club Tui Magic Life Beldibi in Turkey starts at 899 euros per person in a double room on an all-inclusive basis. At the Tui Magic Life Candia Maris in Crete, the same stay costs from 1.279 euros, while the Club Tui Magic Life Jacaranda in Turkey, with a starting price of 949 euros, is an attractive option for solo travelers. The all-inclusive club holiday is a popular choice because the extensive services make planning and budgeting easier.

Perspective for the club holiday of the future

The popularity of club holidays for singles shows how much the market for travellers without a partner or family has changed. Instead of isolated "single trips", club resorts such as Tui Magic Life now offer comprehensive concepts that ideally combine the need for socialising with the opportunity to travel alone.

According to a Tui analysis, more and more solo travellers are specifically looking for such holidays because they can find a balance between relaxation, active activities and social contacts. For many, club holidays are becoming a popular and recurring travel option that offers them not only entertainment and relaxation, but also social connections.
