The Japanese airline ANA All Nippon Airways and Austrian Airlines have expanded their codeshare partnership. The ANA flight code is now visible on 15 additional Austrian Airlines routes from Vienna to European and Middle Eastern destinations.

The affected routes include destinations such as Barcelona, Belgrade, Cairo, Milan, Sofia and Venice. This strengthens the cooperation between the two Star Alliance members, which enables a closer connection for ANA passengers to the Austrian route network.

The expanded codeshare agreement is intended to optimize both comfort and flight options for international travelers and facilitates seamless transfers for passengers on long-haul flights to Europe. Experts see the expansion of codesharing as a sign of the increasing demand for flexible flight options between Asia and Europe. Aeroroutes.com was the first to report on the expanded cooperation.
