A new duty-free shop is now available to travelers in Terminal 1 of Cologne/Bonn Airport. This is around 900 square meters and is operated by Setur.

"The redesigned duty-free area is an absolute highlight in the terminal and another milestone on our way to continuously improve the travel experience and the quality of stay in the terminals for our guests. We are pleased that in Setur we have found an international partner who, together with our team, has implemented this innovative concept in an excellent way,” says Thilo Schmid, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. Managing Director Torsten Wardrobe adds: “We are proud that Setur has chosen Cologne/Bonn as its first European location. The opening of the new shop areas marks the start of our new stay concept in the terminals and fits perfectly with our ideas of a modern shopping experience.”

In its new shops at Cologne/Bonn Airport, Setur focuses on regional products and takes up the Rhineland mentality. At the same time, the range offers a large selection of international branded items. The areas designed as an "open market space" focus on the shopping experience of the passengers. The modern architecture reflects the culture and colorful lifestyle of Cologne and Bonn. In addition, sustainable and recyclable materials were used and innovative technical solutions were implemented to improve the customer experience.

After the opening in Terminal 1, which has now taken place, new sales areas will also be created in Terminal 2 in a second step. This new, around 600 square meter duty-free/duty-paid area is being created as a central marketplace in Terminal 2 and offers travelers a modern shopping experience and a high quality of stay within the shops. The opening is planned for the next few weeks.
