The airline Icelandair started a seasonal flight connection between Keflavik and Innsbruck on Saturday, January 27, 2024. This will be served with Boeing 737-Max-8s over the next five weeks.

An Icelandair Boeing 17 Max landed on time for the first time on Sunday at 07:737 p.m. with 150 high-spirited passengers on board at Innsbruck Airport. The plane touched down in Innsbruck exactly at sunset. Icelandair is not an entirely new airline partner for the airport, although the partnership dates back many years. Around 40 years ago there was already a direct connection to/from Innsbruck. Innsbruck Airport is all the more pleased that this partnership is now being resumed. Icelandair flies from Reykjavik (KEF) to Innsbruck and back every Saturday between January 27th and March 02nd. A Boeing 737 Max is in use and the flight time is around 4,5 hours.
