Star Alliance member Croatia Airlines has been operating the Zagreb-Vienna route for 30 years. The first landing took place on January 17, 1993. The route is now served twice a day. Mostly de Havilland Dash 8-400 are used.

“Croatia Airlines has been taking off from Vienna for thirty years and is currently doing so fourteen times a week. This flight connection strengthens the close tourist connection between Austria and Croatia as well as Vienna's role as an international hub. Croatia's accession to Schengen will make it even easier for passengers on flights to and from Croatia via Vienna Airport in future. I am delighted with this decision, which creates even more freedom to travel within Europe,” explains. Julian Jäger, CEO of Flughafen Wien AG.

"I am pleased that we are celebrating the valuable 30th anniversary of the Vienna-Zagreb route today and would like to thank our partners at Vienna Airport for the high-quality cooperation over the past three decades. The Austrian market is a very important market for Croatia Airlines, because within the framework of this cooperation, our passengers arriving in Vienna have suitable transfer flight options to destinations all over the world, and at the same time we offer passengers from Austria the fastest transport connection from Vienna to Croatia all year round on,” said Mato Radic, Area Manager Central Europe at Croatia Airlines.
