DDSG with new autumn trips

“Moments of happiness on the ship” – this is the motto under which the DDSG Blue Danube fleet, consisting of seven modern ships, sets off on countless boat trips throughout the day and evening. The DDSG Blue Danube themed trips will attract visitors in November 2023 with a variety of attractions combined with culinary delights and musical accompaniment.

“We write stories together on the waves of the Danube – a new chapter with every themed trip. November offers many new opportunities for moments of happiness that are worth remembering,” says DDSG Blue Danube managing director Wolfgang Hanreich.

MS Admiral Tegetthoff: November highlight

On Saturday, November 11, 2023, the “Martini Gansl” will be the focus of the “Martini Gansl and autumn specialties” themed trip of the same name in Vienna. During an evening boat trip along the Vienna skyline, crispy goose variations with apple compote or red cabbage, dumplings and juice are served as part of a seasonal specialty buffet. The band Funfair provides musical entertainment.

Am 24. November 2023 können die Gäste an Bord der MS Admiral Tegetthoff einen außergewöhnlichen Abend rund um Johann Strauss erleben. Ein Klassik-Ensemble präsentiert Johann Strauss‘ weltberühmte Musik des Donauwalzers. Das Programm bietet Walzer tanzen in einzigartiger Atmosphäre und vor spektakulärer Kulisse sowie Wiener Gaumenfreuden vom Buffet. Außerdem wird die Biografie von Johann Strauss multimedial und interaktiv dargestellt. Musik und Gesang kommt von Monika Mosser und den Wiener Strauss Perlen, während die Profis der Tanzschule Chris eine Tanzperformance zum Besten geben und einen Tanzkurs für Walzer-Begeisterte anbieten.

MS Wien: Heurigen trips with Viennese songs

Every Thursday at 19.00 p.m. the DDSG Blue Danube boat fleet goes on the popular Heurigen cruise with Viennese songs. At the beginning of the trip, guests are treated to a rich buffet, while a Viennese Heurigen duo provides the subtle background music. The buffet offers both cold and warm Heurigen specialties, including typical Viennese delicacies such as schnitzel, spreads, apple strudel and cakes. After the meal, the musicians go from table to table and fulfill the guests' musical wishes from the traditional repertoire. The Heurigen trips under the title “Advent in Vienna” will take place on November 16th, 23rd and 30th, 2023.
