DFS has taken over air traffic control services in Braunschweig

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Since January 1, 2023, Braunschweig Airport in Germany has no longer been controlled by Austro Control. Air traffic control was taken over by DFS Aviation Services. It is planned to switch to a remote tower system in the future.

Apart from a few charter flights, business and general aviation dominate in Braunschweig. In Germany, air traffic control is only provided by DFS at larger airports. Smaller pitches have to obtain these themselves or commission them. Austro Control was also active in Friedrichshafen in the past.
