Diverse cultural program for families during the semester break

During the Lower Austrian semester break from February 1 to 9, 2025, children and families can look forward to a wide range of cultural activities including creative workshops, theater performances and interactive experiences. Numerous museums, castles and theaters invite you to events that are specially tailored to young visitors.

The KinderKunstLabor in St. Pölten offers artistic workshops on the exhibition dream.labThe Lower Austria Museum offers free admission for children and young people up to 18 years of age and organizes daily family tours, craft stations and a museum academy with themes from nature and history. In Baden, children can create their own works of art in the aquarium, ceramics and painting workshops.

There is also a varied holiday programme at Hof Castle: From creative workshops to interactive castle tours and a baroque-style costume workshop, families can experience the historical atmosphere. In addition, numerous stages offer plays for children, including the Lower Austrian State Theatre with Ronja the robber's daughter, the puppet theater Dream island with Rotkäppchen and the puppet theater The Bremen Town Musicians in Mistelbach.

In addition to the cultural programme, children can Kultur4Kids-Podcast. The digital offering enables families to immerse themselves in exciting stories and interesting facts about Lower Austria's cultural highlights, either at home or on the go.
