Last week, a new building at Dresden Airport was officially handed over to the Federal Police. The construction work started in November last year.

In addition to the construction of the new station, they include the demolition of the old federal police station, the installation of new control devices for hand luggage and body scanners (lanes 1 and 2) and an adjustment of the rental space in the aviation security area.

In 2022, Dresden Airport recorded more than 841.500 passengers, 154 percent more than in the previous year. From January to July, 503.850 passengers used the airport. Compared to the previous year, the volume increased by 18,4 percent.
