The route from Dortmund to Marrakech was officially opened yesterday.

The first flight to the former capital of Morocco started in the afternoon. The low-coster flies to Marrakech on Wednesdays and Sundays in both the summer and winter months. The flights can already be booked until the end of October 2022. 

“The wait is finally over,” says Guido Miletic, Head of Airport Services and Marketing at Dortmund Airport. “The connection from Dortmund to Marrakech was originally supposed to be introduced in August 2020, but the start had to be postponed due to the corona pandemic. Now we can finally offer our passengers this exciting new holiday destination. "

Marrakech is the first destination in Morocco that travelers can reach directly from Dortmund Airport. In total, passengers can choose from destinations in 27 countries. Morocco is the first country in Africa to fly to from Dortmund.
