On Thursday morning, June 16.06.2022, XNUMX, a Wizz Air machine took off for the first time from Dortmund Airport to the new travel destination of Heviz in Hungary.

The new connection to the largest inland lake in Central Europe is offered twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. Guido Miletic, Head of Airport Services and Marketing at Dortmund Airport, welcomed the crew on the apron for the first flight: “We are delighted that we can offer our passengers such a diverse travel destination that can be reached in just under 2 hours flight time. The spa town of Heviz and the entire region around Lake Balaton has a lot to offer holidaymakers.”

Lake Balaton is one of the most important tourist destinations in Hungary. The lake and its surroundings attract swimmers, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists, hikers and those who enjoy wellness and spa treatments every year.
