With an intrusive pop-up, Weeze Airport is advertising the flights announced by ticket seller Green Airlines, which are to be served from March 28, 2022. However, this has not happened so far, because there were no flights due to a lack of bookings.

A spokeswoman for the ticket sales company confirmed to Aviation.Direct that the flights planned for March 28 and 29, 2022 had to be cancelled. “The reason for this is that the flights were hardly or not at all booked during this period. In view of these circumstances, the concept of environmentally friendly air travel could no longer have been maintained. Green Airlines regrets this fact and apologizes to the affected passengers for the inconvenience caused. Passengers with bookings during the affected period will have their ticket costs refunded in full," said the media officer.

The company did not answer the question of who should actually operate the flights marketed by Green Airlines. Flight tickets are currently sold without naming the operating carrier under the fictitious IATA two-letter code GN. This is not assigned to any airline.
