Tuifly is now connecting the state capital on the Rhine with the Senegalese capital on the Atlantic. At the start of the connection, the airline will be offering two rotations per week, on Thursdays and Sundays. The first plane to Africa took off yesterday, a Boeing 737-8. “We are pleased that Düsseldorf Airport now has an attractive long-haul connection. I am convinced that the new route will be a great asset for holidaymakers,” explains Thomas Schnalke, CEO of the airport.
The airline recently added another new route to its flight schedule with the holiday destination of Luxor in southern Egypt. “The city of palaces” on the banks of the Nile, which primarily attracts cultural tourists, is served by the airline once a week, always on Thursdays. With the two new destinations, the carrier flies to a total of 15 destinations up to 38 times a week in the winter flight schedule. Tuifly has a total of five aircraft based at Düsseldorf Airport and also operates a maintenance base here.
