During the two-week Easter holidays, Dortmund Airport welcomed 117.098 passengers (previous year: 34.204 passengers).
That is around 71 percent more than in 2021. Dortmund Airport was thus able to almost reach the figures of the record year 2019, in which 127.829 travelers used the flight offer during the Easter holidays.
"We were able to get back to the pre-crisis level by 91,6 percent," sums up airport boss Ludger van Bebber. "We are pleased with the positive development in passenger numbers - especially compared to last year's holidays, which were badly affected by the pandemic," Ludger van Bebber continued. "The announcement of the newest destinations Heviz (Balaton), Venice and Rome gives us confidence that we can continue this trend."
