Many people felt left alone when thousands of flights were suddenly canceled and the tickets, often already paid for, became worthless as a result. Because in such situations, passengers have the right on their side. But many airlines dumped their customers with vouchers. If you wanted your money back, you had to be prepared for a long wait. 

Many also had more important things to do in these times of crisis and could not worry about the tedious and often difficult reimbursement of flight tickets. Flightright takes advantage of this problem: They bring the passengers' claims to court and, if successful, collect a commission. The company was unable to take a “Corona break”. On the contrary: within ten weeks, almost 50.000 people registered on the website, like capital.de reported. 

Flightright founder Philipp Kadelbach shows no understanding of the airlines' approach. "They used the passengers as a kind of compulsory lender," said the lawyer. Amazingly, smaller carriers would be more willing to pay than established airlines. "The best paying airline is Easyjet," said Kadelbach. High-priced providers such as Lufthansa, Air France or KLM, on the other hand, “have not yet met the demands”
