Since February 1, 2023, proof of international health insurance must be provided to enter Qatar. This can be purchased online when applying for an electronic visa and costs the equivalent of around 14 euros.
Only policies from insurance companies that have been officially accredited are recognized. Travelers should therefore first check on the website of the Ministry of the Interior whether any existing insurance is recognized by Qatar. In this case, the policy can be uploaded as part of the visa application. Otherwise, it is possible to take out separate insurance during the application process.
