Golf carrier Etihad Airways will fly from Abu Dhabi to Nice and Malaga from June 15, 2022. The current plan is for the two new destinations to be served twice a week. However, these are not non-stop flights.

Similar to the Abu Dhabi flights offered from Vienna-Schwechat, there is a stopover in one direction. From the United Arab Emirates, a stopover will be made in Rome-FCO in the direction of Nice. In the opposite direction, however, it goes non-stop.

The Malaga flights from Abu Dhabi coming first in Madrid. From Malaga it then goes non-stop to Abu Dhabi. It is currently planned that Boeing 787 long-haul aircraft will be used on both routes. Other new routes that Etihad Airways will offer in the summer 2022 flight schedule are: Heraklion, from 15 June 2022 with Airbus A320; Santorini, from 16 June 2022 with A320 and Zanzibar, from 17 June 2022 with A320. With the exception of Crete (twice a week), three rotations per week are currently planned.
