Europe Assistance under new management

The Austrian branch of the travel insurance company Europ Assistance has been under the management of Wolfgang Lackner since the beginning of the year. The previous managing director, Besim Akinci, now works for the group in Switzerland.

Wolfgang Lackner assumes this function in addition to his work as CEO of Europäische Reiseversicherung AG, a sister company of Europ Assistance GesmbH within the Generali Group.

Furthermore, Stefan Zaffalon (43) was appointed Managing Director of Europ Assistance in Austria on January 1, 2023. He was previously an authorized signatory and senior employee of the company and is responsible for the company's operational areas and IT.
