The Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings withdrew the latest edition of the on-board magazine from circulation. The reason for this is that an advertiser advertises a piece of jewelry in an advertisement. According to a report by the Berliner Kurier, the photo on the subject was taken on the Holocaust memorial in Berlin.

“The product came from an external service provider that we contacted immediately. Even if it was a misunderstanding, such a complaint is not acceptable. We responded immediately and removed the product from all of our channels. We would like to apologize in all kinds of ways, ”said a Eurowings spokeswoman to the Berliner Kurier. The advertising company itself did not want to comment on the incident.

According to the media report, several passengers had previously complained to Eurowings about the advertisement in the on-board magazine. The magazine itself is produced by an external agency on behalf of the low-cost airline.
