The German pilots' union Vereinigung Cockpit accepts the Lufthansa management's offer to enter into collective bargaining regarding the subsidiary Eurowings Discover. The employee representatives welcome the initiative.

“VC and the Lufthansa Group are now on the way to a common and successful future. I am confident that in negotiations on an equal footing, we will be able to find creative solutions together for the benefit of the employees and the company - this will be a stabilizing factor, especially in difficult times. The development that has now been initiated is particularly positive for the colleagues at Eurowings Discover, because collective agreements mean security, predictability and stability for the employees. I'm pleased that my announcement from last year that we will rate Eurowings Discover is now being implemented," says Stefan Herth, President of the Cockpit Association.

Lufthansa had offered VC to enter into collective bargaining regarding EW Discover. At the same time, the "Cityline 2" project was put on hold. More about that in this article.
