Domestic flight demand in Germany seems to be below expectations. Eurowings is also reducing the frequencies of domestic German flights to/from Berlin-Brandenburg for May 2022.

The carrier actually planned to fly up to 12 times a day to the capital from Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart. Nothing will come of it - at least for the time being, because the company decided to run fewer flights. During the week, in May 2022, there will be a maximum of six flights a day to/from Berlin.

In the past, for example, the competitor Easyjet flew Stuttgart-Berlin. This route was included in the course of the takeover of Air Berlin assets. In the meantime, they have completely withdrawn from the largest airport in Baden-Württemberg. The other domestic German routes are running on the back burner and have been repeated since the beginning of the pandemic and in some cases suspended for a very long time.
