Lufthansa’s low-cost subsidiary Eurowings is currently planning to offer flights from Klagenfurt, Graz, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Vienna-Schwechat in the summer flight schedule of 2021. The carrier gave Aviation Direct an insight into the current planning status and advised that changes could occur due to the unforeseeable future pandemic development.

"Of course, such an offer is always subject to change, especially in times of pandemics, but we want to show our customers that we are still sticking to an attractive route network," a Eurowings spokesman told Aviation Direct.

One route each from Graz, Klagenfurt and Linz

Ab Graz Eurowings intends to fly to Palma de Mallorca in the summer flight schedule of 2021. No further scheduled or charter routes are currently planned. Likewise, the carrier will depart the Spanish Mediterranean island Linz approach. No further connections are currently planned here either.

In Carinthia, there were certainly hopes that Eurowings could take over the Palma route set by Lauda. According to the route list sent by the carrier, this is currently not planned. So it will turn off Klagenfurt stay with the connection to Cologne / Bonn, which is currently paused due to the pandemic.

Charter flights from Innsbruck

From Innsbruck, Eurowings will charter tour operators. It is planned that the holiday destinations Heraklion, Kos, Palma de Mallorca and Lamezia Terme will be served from Tyrol. The start of line connections is currently not planned. Incidentally, this year competitor Tradeair will fly with a Fokker 100 instead of Avanti Air on behalf of Idealtours.

Largest Austrian offer in Salzburg

In Salzburg Eurowings Europe maintains a base and plans to offer a total of 2021 destinations in summer 14. According to the current state of planning, this means that Mozart's city is the Austrian airport from which the Lufthansa low-cost offshoot has the largest range of destinations in terms of number of destinations. This also exceeds the Eurowings presence at Vienna-Schwechat Airport. The 14 destinations, which are detailed in the table below, are 12 liner and two charter routes.

Germany traffic and Palma from Vienna

From Austria's largest airport, where Eurowings Europe also has its headquarters, the summer offer is currently limited to five routes to Germany and from Palma to Mallorca. In the Federal Republic of Vienna the "old acquaintances" Cologne / Bonn, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover and Stuttgart are served. With regard to Palma, it is not yet clear whether the route will be taken as a scheduled or charter route.
