True to the motto "it can be a bit more", the number of Airbus A320s that Avion Express will fly on behalf of Eurowings will increase to eleven. The Lufthansa subsidiary originally communicated that there will be ten machines.
The contractor has now announced that eleven Airbus A2022s will be used for Eurowings in the 320 summer flight schedule. These are stationed at Stuttgart and Düsseldorf airports. “We are delighted to be working with one of the world's largest and most respected airlines, demonstrating our high standards of quality, safety and flexibility. Thanks to the close cooperation and commitment of the Eurowings and Lufthansa teams, we look forward to a successful long-term cooperation,” says Avion Express Vice President Commercial Dainius Staniulis.
In addition to Avion Express, Air Baltic will also fly for Eurowings. The Latvian carrier is currently betting two Airbus A220 from Stuttgart. These will be “moved” to Düsseldorf at the start of the 2022 summer timetable period and three units will be added. Air Baltic will thus fly with five A220 for Eurowings. Two more machines of this type will be available from the sister company from May 2022 Eurowings Discover from Munich in the We-lease use.
