On April 19, 2022, an Airbus A330-202 in the colors of Iberia was flown in under registration EC-MJT. This was extensively renovated at Aviation Cosmetics in the Safi Aviation Park, which is located on the site of the Maltese airport Luqa.

The long-haul aircraft left the hangar on Thursday and now carries the military registration T.24-02/10274. This Airbus A330-202 is now operated by the Spanish Air Force (Ejercito del Aire). The plane will soon be flown to a military base in Spain.

The long-haul aircraft, which bears the serial number 1710, completed its entire life as a civil airliner at the IAG subsidiary Iberia. It was only delivered in 2016, so the current T.24-02/10274 is still very young. This Airbus A330 was officially phased out by Iberia in March 2022.
