The Austrian company FACC AG, which specializes in aviation components, again recorded strong growth in the third quarter of 2024. Sales in the first nine months rose by 25,1 percent year-on-year to 642,6 million euros.
Operating profit (EBIT) more than quadrupled to EUR 21,8 million. The international upturn in aviation, particularly the demand for short-haul and business jets, is driving growth. Despite these successes, FACC is forced to implement a cost-cutting program due to increased site costs and one-off costs for new projects. This is intended to contribute to a sustainable increase in efficiency from 2025.
In addition to the business figures, the opening of the new FACC Academy in September 2024 is also a significant step. The training center was founded to specifically train skilled workers and thus alleviate the acute shortage of skilled workers. FACC has also made progress in research: In a European research project, the company is working with partners to develop reusable lightweight materials that are intended for use in aviation and new mobility sectors. FACC is thus strengthening its role as a pioneer in the development of sustainable materials.
For the 2024 financial year, FACC expects sales growth of between 10 and 20 percent and plans to continue to focus on increasing efficiency and reducing costs in order to continue its growth path.
