Hannover Airport and Deutsche Messe AG are threatened with bankruptcy: an injection of money should now prevent that.
Hardly any company can save itself from the coronavirus crisis on its own. According to this, Messe AG should receive around 100 million euros, the airport in Langenhagen (Hanover region) around 60 million euros in corona aid - and the shareholders guarantee. This is initially intended to remedy the situation. And the business associations of Lower Saxony welcome the plan: “Without this support, in this case a guarantee, survival would simply not be possible. From my point of view, these guarantees are acceptable in both cases, because they represent a bridge ”, said General Manager Volker Müller to the NDR.
