In Salzburg and Innsbruck, Luxair carried out a Luxembourg rotation for the first time on Saturday. The carrier heads for the two Austrian cities during the summer season. Turboprop aircraft of the type DHC Dash 8-400 are used.

“We are delighted,” said Innsbruck Airport Director Marco Pernetta, “that we can offer an attractive flight program for Tyroleans this year, despite all the adversities. With appropriate precautions and in compliance with the hygiene regulations, we will ensure the safety of the passengers at Innsbruck Airport! ”According to the airport, 25 passengers were on board the first flight coming from Luxembourg.

“Luxair is a great addition to our growing range of destinations from Salzburg, it is a new destination for us with numerous cultural highlights - that connects Salzburg and Luxembourg. But Luxembourg does not have to be the end of the journey, it is also ideal for transfer passengers. Destinations such as London, Geneva, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Berlin or Hamburg can be easily reached via Luxembourg, ”says Salzburg Airport Authorized Officer and Head of Aviation & Sales, Christopher Losmann.
