Since August 2, 2024, flydubai has been offering regular scheduled flights between Basel-Mulhouse Airport and its hub in Dubai. The new route was officially inaugurated on August 7 with a ceremony at EuroAirport, attended by representatives from flydubai and the airport.

The flight will initially operate four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at lunchtime. Flights can be booked via the flydubai website. Matthias Suhr, Director of EuroAirport, spoke positively about the new connection: "We are proud that with regular direct flights to Dubai, the Arabian Peninsula is now even easier to reach from EuroAirport, meeting the growing demand for travel to this region and strengthening our role in ensuring the connectivity of our tri-national region."

Flydubai, founded in 2008, offers numerous connecting flights to Central and South Asia, North Africa and the Middle East via its hub in Dubai. This means that important business centres and attractive holiday destinations such as Krabi and Pattaya in Thailand or Penang and Langkawi in Malaysia can be easily reached.

The flights between Basel-Mulhouse and Dubai are operated with the latest generation of the Boeing 737 Max 8. The aircraft offers 156 seats in economy class and 10 seats in business class, which offer additional comfort with wide seats and completely flat lying.
