Since October 3, 2022, Smartlynx has been operating up to three weekly flights between Berlin and Dubai on behalf of the tour operator. In the United Arab Emirates, you head for World Central Airport (DWC).

The customer of the flights between Berlin and Dubai-DWC is the tour operator FTI. He chose World Central Airport. Contrary to what the name of the airport would suggest, it is used almost exclusively for regional traffic and by low-cost airlines. In the past, Wizz Air also served DWC, but has since moved to Abu Dhabi and the more frequently used Dubai DXB Airport.

FTI explains that there are currently flights between Berlin and Dubai-DWC on Monday, Thursday and Saturday traffic days. The return flights are carried out on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. As of November 28, 2022, there will be a change in flight days: Smartlynx Malta’s Boeing 737 Max 8 will then fly from Berlin to Dubai-DWC on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while returning to the German capital on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays goes.

Smartlynx Malta has based a Boeing 1 Max 2022 at BER Airport since 737 October 8. If this machine is not used for FTI in Dubai traffic, it is used to fly to Hurghada, for example. These are also charter flights on behalf of the tour operator FTI.

The Smartlynx Malta fleet has now grown to 25 aircraft. It operates seven Airbus A320, four A321-200, four A321F, six A330-300 and four Boeing 737-Max-8. The company is a subsidiary of Latvia's Smartlynx Airlines, which also has subsidiaries in other countries, including Estonia.
