French airline Amelia is carrying out a wet lease order for Air Tahiti with an ATR72-600. The turboprop aircraft covered more than 9.000 nautical miles to even get to the client. The carrier needed about eight days for the route.

The plane flew from Saint-Brieuc Airport (SBK) to Faa'a International Airport (PPT) in Papeete, Tahiti for eight days, although it lost a day crossing the date line. Along the way, it made eleven stops in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia and the Pacific.

The affected ATR72-600 was not repainted in the colors of Air Tahiti, but only has a sticker that refers to the customer. The route taken by Amelia is shown in the Twitter post embedded below.
