Freezing rain: Nothing worked in Saarbrücken

Advertising

Due to severe winter weather conditions, the German Saarbrücken Airport completely suspended operations on January 17, 2024. All planned flights had to be canceled.

The airport's management announced this decision in advance and used the forecast from the German weather service as a basis for the decision. This predicted that there could be heavy freezing rain in the region. There may still be delays and cancellations in Saarbrücken on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
