From Germany and Switzerland: Corendon is shortening the 2022/23 winter flight schedule

The airline Corendon Airlines is reducing its presence in Germany in the 2022/23 winter flight schedule. Numerous routes are not served and the sale of airline tickets has already stopped. Other routes are on the brink, because these are marked as "sold out".

The majority of the cancellations concern traffic between Germany and Turkey. For example, the destination Ankara will not be offered from Stuttgart, Munich, Hanover, Düsseldorf and Cologne/Bonn in winter 2022/23. The flights to the Turkish capital from Hamburg and Frankfurt are on the brink.

With many airlines, it is a clear indication that a route is being canceled if the ticket prices in the reservation system are either absurdly high or are marked as allegedly sold out. The latter is the case, for example, with the Ankara flights from Hamburg and Frankfurt.

However, numerous other routes are also affected: Among other things, from Cologne/Bonn the destinations Funchal, Adana, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Trabzon and Zonguldak. In Düsseldorf it is about the routes to Funchal, Sharm El Sheikh, Adana, Gaziantep, Samsun and Trabzon. From Nuremberg, the flights to Izmir have already been canceled and those to Sharm El Sheikh, Agadir and Funchal are on the brink.

From Münster/Osnabrück it is uncertain whether Corendon Airlines or Corendon Europe will serve the destinations Funchal, Sharm El Sheikh and Zonguldak. In Hanover, the routes Agadir, Sharm El Sheikh, Adana, Diyarbakir and Kayseri are affected. The latter destination is also on the brink in Hamburg.

In Basel, the routes to Funchal and Lanzarote face an uncertain future. The same applies to Fuerteventura from Munich and Memmingen. Another shaky candidate: the Hurghada flights from Allgäu Airport.

It is not the first string concert, because a few weeks ago Corendon Airlines (Turkey) and Corendon Europe (Malta) thinned the flight plan significantly. Particularly seasonal routes were discontinued much earlier than originally announced or not included at all. The group of companies did not want to comment on the cuts that have been made or are about to be made for the 2022/23 winter flight schedule.
